Villa le Pechoir
Spectacular view! Villa le Pechoir is located in a peaceful and very private spot on the border of the French departments of the Dordoge and the Lot. This stately holiday home with its beautiful private swimming pool is located on top of a hill, where you can enjoy wide views, wonderful scents and the silence... This large, well-equipped holiday home has been given a modern makeover, resulting in a beautiful holiday house with a country chic atmosphere.
Inside
There are 4 bedrooms spread over the ground floor and the first floor, thus it can accommodate 8 people. The heart of the house is the cozy downstairs living room with a lovely sitting area centered around the fireplace – there is also a spacious dining area where you can eat together (but you will mostly enjoy the weather outside!). There is also a well-equipped modern kitchen with island/bar area. From the kitchen and living room you can step onto the sunny terrace, from where you can enjoy an unprecedentedly beautiful view of the Vallée de la Dordogne.
Bedrooms: Ground floor: Bedroom with double bed – en-suite bathroom with toilet (3 small steps down) 1st Floor: 3 x double bedrooms, one bedroom with four-poster bed (160 m x 200 m) and a large dressing and/or walk-in closet and an en-suite bathroom and the other 2 bedrooms (one bedroom 2 x 1 ps, one bedroom with a double bed) share a shared bathroom.
The owners are real gourmands and offer an optional service with fresh local (smoked) trout and other delicacies, which can be ordered when booking. Outside by the private pool you can rest on the sunbeds while the children play in the water or daydream with the most beautiful views of the hills and valleys on the horizon.
Outside
On the terrace (south) there is a well sized dining table and by the pool there is a seating area to relax, so you can also enjoy barbecue dinners and balmy summer evenings by the pool.
Environment
The charming town of Souillac is a five-minute drive away, and the beautiful Sarlat, with flea markets and elegant historic buildings, is a 15-minute drive away. Sporty guests can choose from beautiful bike rides through the rolling hills or canoe trips on the Dordogne. Don't forget to visit the Gouffre du Blagour where you can fish for fresh trout. In this beautiful house you will find all the ingredients for a slow-living holiday! The Dordogne river is a 1-minute drive away, but it is also close to the cycle route that goes from Cazoulès to Sarlat. (voie verte de Cazoules à Sarlat). This path follows the route of a former railway line and offers a pleasant route for cyclists and walkers.
