(09-2024) Hello Thijs and Lydia,

Our stay in Sarlajoande is already over. What a lovely holiday home, on top of a hill. That means that there is relatively little shade, which is more than compensated for by 2 large parasols and ... the trees are still growing. A lovely garden for real sun worshippers. Moreover, it is also neat and clean and well maintained. Everything in and around the house works as you would expect. There is also more than enough parking space around the house.

The beautiful and well-maintained garden has an easily accessible swimming pool, in which a bench has also been made. So you can sit in the water, where you can effortlessly 'keep your head above water'. The large refrigerator in the house has no fewer than 3 freezer drawers. Wonderful to store things for an extra day. The beds are also fine - not only for sleeping, but also inviting enough to take a nap every now and then.

In short, Sarlajoande offers what the critical holidaymaker is looking for. With the style and quality that Francevilla has been offering its guests for years. Highly recommended!

We stayed in the Sarlajoande cottage for 2 weeks in June 2023. Great house where you lack nothing with a beautiful swimming pool. There were many beautiful sights in the area. We had a great holiday.

The cottage is beautiful. Very clean and even bigger than we expected based on the photos. The owners are super nice and keep in touch with you via text if something is going to happen, such as a cleaning of the pool. They don't speak English but they understand you and that's how we managed with a little French. The environment is also great. You can find all kinds of activities within a radius of 20 minutes, really perfect. Have had a great holiday.

Beautiful house in a fantastic location, beautiful unobstructed view of only greenery. Very quiet location, lovely pool, well equipped spacious kitchen, very clean and tidy. There is still a holiday villa on the property, but there is sufficient privacy. Bakery at 2 minutes by car, shops and supermarché at less than ten minutes at Sarlat.
