Belvès is a beautiful medieval walled town (with 7 towers) south of Sarlat. It is classified by France as one of the 10 most beautiful villages in the Dordogne.

The covered market in the center is more than 500 years old and cave houses have even been found under the square, which most likely date from prehistory

During the tourist season there are numerous activities such as city walks, markets and festivals.
