Sarlat in France a pearl in the Dordogne

Sarlat-la-Canéda, as the city is officially called, is one of the most beautiful cities in France and is a must for anyone visiting the Périgord (Dordogne). This city, which is chock full of buildings from the Middle Ages and Renaissance, has been completely restored and has therefore become a unique gem for anyone who loves art and culture. The city used to be simply called Sarlat, but after the merger of the towns of Sarlat and La Canéda, the current official name is now Sarlat-la-Canéda
